On Thursday evening, we found ourselves enjoying a night in the middle of the theater district @ Hurley’s on 48th street with fellow TORCH alumni, current participants, communications and arts professionals and many TORCH supporters. It was a night filled with laughter, learning and a whole lot of mingling.
The night was a success in many ways. Alumni and current participants talked about their experience at TORCH and how it has helped in exploring several creative career paths. Supporters gained insights on TORCH, its students and its mission. And, money was raised to continue helping TORCH students pursue career and educational goals.
Thank to all the alumni who came-Meisha, Bernadette, Quinton, Verrion, Sherry and Andy D.-it was great seeing you. If I didn’t see you, I’m sorry I missed you but will see you at the next one. And for all you who were unable to make it, don’t worry there WILL be a next one.
The first TORCH Night Cap was a great success. I hope to see more of the TORCH alumni at the next one supporting TORCH and expanding our own network in the professional world.
